To me, there are two kinds of students. One that wishes to strum and sing on the Guitar.
The other, happy to just play the Guitar instrumentally, without the need to sing.
My Individual Guitar Course will first cover the aspect of reading tabulature, that is the number system in Guitar playing. Simple Melodies will be Introduced and actually, on the first lesson, you can attempt one or two basic melodies.
Chords will be introduced next, For those of you who aspire to one day sing and strum together, this section is very important. The four basic chords G, Eminor, C and D will be taught.
It is essential to get a Capo nowadays as contemporary songs nowadays comprise simply of four chords and a capo on the neck.
I choose my songs to teach according to age group. So actually the different age groups will be playing different songs.
Personally, Im a 90's music sort of person. So anything by Oasis, Green day, Radiohead etc, Im pretty familiar with them.
Strumming Pattern comes next, as the person who strums and sings needs a pattern to play along with.
For those who are into instrumental Guitar pieces, fingerstyle will be taught. I am trained classically, so I use my fingers all the time.
After maybe two or three lessons, I can gauge what sort of Guitar player you are, and will try my best to teach you to your fullest potential.
