New Year

2009 is coming up soon. The year is planned already...jammed with classes. New schools await me. Think Im getting white sands and ACS next year....haha back to white sands again....YAY! no sign of my break coming up....haha tts alrite.....Im quite recharged these few days....sleeping well, eating well...cant wait for the year to open....I think tis job suits me fine, no office jobs pls...cant sit in the same position for 8 hrs at a stretch, staring at the computer....

Had good classes yesterday, think I am more confident in front of large groups now, after dealing with schools tis year....less tense, more myself, more weird, more quirky....

Hope the bunch next year at white sands will be as responsive as tis year's. Im just a little worried abt ACS though....full ensemble....SYF...major step for me...but in the right direction...

Hope I can do more private organisations and clubs....it was a good response at Civil Service Club. Need to do more cold calls soon....I need to work harder....not getting any younger....at least my mum is more understanding these few months...hey things are getting better....used to fight with her alot....guessed both of us has mellowed down a lot....relationship a lot better now....i think im less rebellious too....but i still make her worry....i need to grow up....

Lifehouse

I was introduced to Lifehouse today, and I cant seem to stop playing it, over and over again, even though its like a Christian band(sorry Im not the Hillsongs singing type). Its good! Solid soothing rock...great vocalist. Thanks R...:). Met Ms Chan on the bus today, boy she looks different....sorry I was not in a good mood today, a little sulky, but hey can we meet up soon....?

Got to head down to Clementi today, need to get home and rest....cos Tmr is crazy, but well tts my life....okaez yeah, Lifehouse rocks...!

The boys at YMCA were fantastic today....Ear splitting jamming, drums guitar bass....yeah, they are finally growing up!....sooo happy for them....havent seen Fahmy in a while.....pls do contact me yeah.....Mr A is really doing well on the solos.....they are really becoming more and more solid! Bliss!

How many times must I tell you i hate spam

And again, people are using my name to spam my blog and my students' blogs. Really hate it when people have nothing else better to do.....Grow up lor....and get a decent job! If you really hate me and what I do, tell it to me in my face, dont have to be a coward and use my name to post vulgarities.! I REALLY HATE these kind of people, really no guts.....total coward....

Anyway I am going to YMCA today and then to Kolam Ayer CC....Easy day....and yes, unexpectedly, I am taking a one week break in December....Guitar Festival YAY!....I think I should be able to put the BBQ then...to my students, just wait and i will tell you the details....Bye for now....

Morning up at 7am....went all the way to Clementi....now parking at the internet cafe....okaez shld i get another CD todaay....? Breaking Benjamin or Switchfoot....gimme some ideas man....The Linkin Park album yesterday was good! Reliving old memories.....haha....Poly days on the bus rapping to In the End and other songs....Would really like to visit TP again.....sighz....Guitar Ensemble is now defunct...Maybe I shld call them and see whether they wanna start again....Tts where I met Ms Chia...hmmmz...wonder how is she now....? Guess she must be happy...

Its a Bright and Sunny Day

Well, its a bright and sunny day, clear skies no rain.....amazing....hate the wet weather...good for swimming, but I dont have the time to do so now. CC classes tonight, major headache cos there are so many students. Reggie is visiting me tonight, so YAY! well...organising a bbq next month...major logistics problem. How do I call everyone(which I think is a hundred over students) and how to get supplies(like that many supplies to the venue?) How many pits should I book? Maybe I should organise something smaller first like a badminton game and see the response. Anyways, I miss all my students can't wait to see them again.....Its a good day....heehee.

Hi

Something really bad happened yesterday and it made me miss my morning class....to my students in my Kembangan class, Im really really sorry for not coming yesterday....really unexpected. Really sorry....Well, I think I have to slow down the pace of my classes....Im really feeling the stress....."sighz"....hope what happened yesterday will not happen again.....

All my friends are leaving singapore for christmas.....the year is ending soon....how i wish i can break too....but ive got commitments and next years schedule is already planned.....dont see the break anytime soon.....will be posting more photos and videos in the coming weeks....

Just bought the new Oasis album. Dig Out your Soul. Listening to the first two songs, reminds me of the days back in 1995 when i first listened to Oasis. That's how I picked up my guitar too....
Haha Time flies. Back when I was a nerdy schoolboy, quiet, introverted, studious. Haha, now Im this huge monkey running around with my guitar....Blond hair, bad teeth and really quite erratic.
well, Im going to the BBQ on Friday......wonder why I was invited. Haha kids will be kids.....anyways, havent gone out in quite a while.....Bye for now.

Woke Up Super Late

Yupz, u guessed it, woke up super super late today again! My body clock is really not right these few weeks. I sleep at 2 in the morning and get up at 12 noon.....not good at all....wish I can get back to school as soon as possible, so that I can have a fixed schedule again....Heavy day again cos I finish at 11 tonight, then its a long train ride back home again.....hate long journeys and its raining somemore....why am i nagging again....?

School's Over

Heya people, havent actually posted for a long time. School's over and my mornings are free again. I'm really going to miss all those students i have taught over the last six months, esp those from white sands. Its been a very enjoyable six months and i have learnt alot during this period of time. Well, let's just hope next year's batch will be as nice or even better than this year's . Bye for now.

okay here goes

Hi, for all you students out there who wish to noe more about me, here goes. I was born on 17th february 1982, star sign aquarius, which means Im totally emotional, unpredictable and really random. I studied in opera estate pri school before moving on to Temasek Secondary. For those of you who are thinking of going to this secondary school, i would say it is an okay choice but there are other better schools. I have two dogs at home(namely Pepsi and Happy), as well as a turtle(though I havent named the turtle). I live with my dearest mummy in Bedok(so next time if you are in the area, try looking for me). My passion in life is guitar as you guys would have known and sports(namely tennis and swimming). I think God has been kind to me thru the years, but yes, I have made some really stupid mistakes in the past and that is why I am always nagging you students to study hard...

At this point of time, yes and you guys guessed it, I am still single. Yes, I do have my target on someone but unfortunately, shes taken, so the case is closed. I am what you call a guy who thinks too much, too much reading in between the lines, which is not good for a guy cos guys are supposed to be straightforward. I may seem very happy and crazy to you guys but deep inside, I worry about alot of things...I think it is just a outer image that i keep, to be happy in front of students so that they will be happy too....

Right now, I am just keeping my fingers crossed that Friday's performance will be a successful one. You guys have been my pride and joy for the last six months and after Friday, I will have to say goodbye to you all. So whatever happens in the future, I will always remember the times we shared in school and I wish you all the best in secondary school. Hope we will meet again. Cheers :) Derek Goh

Woke up coughing this morning.....guess its too much fried food last nite.....came back super late as usual.....I think my mum is expecting me to be home later than 11pm every nite....Was talking to Ms Reg again last nite, 1 hr on the train and 1hr at home.....I think its becoming routine, but hey I dont mind cos shes fun to talk to. Well, Im finally having a half day tmr....so I better spend it well, thinking of watching a movie tmr....hope the shows at the cathay are good....havent watched a foreign film in a while. I missed the French Film Festival, hoping to watch a French film cos they are usually very quirky....Need to make a trip down to Peninsula to check out (u guessed it!) guitars again.....Maybe will pop by Uncle Ho's shop to get some posters. Im still looking for my Oasis posters, donoe whether he has brought it in. Bye for now...

Everything Happens for a Reason

This thought just came to me while i was sitting on the bus. Everything happens for a reason. You come into this world for a reason. You die for a reason, you live for a reason. You study for a reason, you work for a reason. So this girl came into my life for a reason. Its been a nice few days and I really wish her the best in everything. She is nice, sweet, someone whom i can talk to. And I noe I can really depend on her when Im down. So I wish her and her special someone all my sincere blessings. Life goes on and things have to be done. My work with my students give me the motivation to wake up every morning. Im happy with my students and things will just stay this way for a while. So hey, life goes on....really goes on.....

Back Again

Its been two days since i logged on....totally busy....I just realised two days without the computer is a very good thing, quite an easy day for me today. Wyser and his friends are going first, then its off to Simei for CC class...I really shld not talk abt guitar stuff all the time, I noe Im a really boring person. But I guess tis is my life.....

Just had the shock of my life when I logged on today......Some stupid people are using my nick and sending vulgarities to my friends and students. This is totally unacceptable. To those useless people out there who have nothing better to do, pls get a life or get a decent job, dont degrade yourself any further.....I really have no respect for these kind of people who really are wasting everybody's time. Im pissed and Im angry....

Turning out to be a Gd Day.

Slept super late last nite....2am, cos I was on the phone with Ms Reg....Really sweet and nice girl, quite comfortable talking to her.
New class at Kembangan CC was gd....15 students, going to get some guitars and tuners for them later. Going to have a new class at Tampines North today, I think I will meet some familiar people. 15 students also. Then after that, Im off to bedok CC for the guys there.....Things are looking good today...just hope the weather doesnt dampen my spirits. Mathieu will be the last tonight. Doing Wonderwall (Miss those Oasis days...) with him. Hes turning out to be quite solid. packed day tmr.....haha Im feeling over the moon! :P
