My Students
It is really a very fun time teaching these two girls Ukulele.
It has been a couple of months with them and I think they are able to strum their ukulele chords well.
The chords they are able toplay are C, Am, F, G, G7, D and Em.
It is also great to hear them sing and play the ukulele. They have improved greatly over the months and I hope that they will be able to perform in front of others in the future.
These two girls are also able to pluck out melodies. So for people who are not comfortable singing and strumming on the ukulele, they are able to pluck out the melody of the song.
Chords are used only when you want to strum and sing. For melodies, you are able to hear the song as its being played.

Ukulele and Guitar Class Photos
This is my Indian student from the music school. Very good Guitar student who practises very hard.
He is able to pluck classical melodies and is also able to strum Guitar Chords and strumming patterns.
Keep up the good work!
This is my new Japanese student for Ukulele.
She is playing on an 8 string Ukulele. This is a Ukulele where there are two strings of the same note.
A very pleasant student! She is a very fun and enjoyable student to teach.

Fingerstyle Ukulele
For students learning the Ukulele, it will be nice for them to learn to play some Solo Ukulele, or Fingerstyle Ukulele.
What does Fingerstyle Ukulele mean?
It means playing a song using both Ukulele chords and individual notes.
Most of the time, you will be plucking the song out.
You will be able to hear the tune as you play, as compared to just strumming chords, where you will need to sing to accompany the song.
Technically, Fingerstyle Ukulele is more challenging, but more rewarding in the end!

School Holidays
School Holidays are here again. Been busy with private classes and music school classes.
There are still time slots available. So You can contact me at 97450740 if you are interested in Guitar/Ukulele Lessons.
Been updating myself with contemporary songs, as most of my students are teenagers.
Did Let Her Go by Passenger with one of my students today. Went pretty well...
In order to play the song well, u must be able to play together with the recording of the song.
I did that with my student today, so I felt pretty pleased about that.

Finale Performance
Lessons at Yu Neng Primary have come to a close. The children did a finale performance today in front of a large audience outside the library. Even though they were pretty nervous, they did a pretty good job of it handling the pressure of playing in front of a live audience.
So proud of them. Really thank the teachers for giving me this chance to teach them over the course of 10 weeks and really happy that the students have gained much insight into the world of Ukulele.
Hope I can be back again next year to teach these adorable children again. :)

A Rainy Wednesday
Hello all,
Was kinda free this morning, so I went to a shop selling birds to look.
Was thinking of getting a parrot to liven up things at home. Maybe can teach it to talk and sing.
Or maybe I can play the guitar, and it becomes the lead singer. So I don't have to look for a female vocalist anymore. heehee.
Having my Japanese students today. Anyone knows how to speak fluent Jap here? I can do a skill swap, I teach you how to play the Guitar, You teach me Japanese.
Have always found the language very interesting. Very refined.
Also saw an advertisement on Chinese calligraphy lessons. hmmmm, I did it when I was much younger, maybe I should pick up this hobby again.
Overall a relaxing morning, I should be busier, but here I am at the library typing this post. Anyway,
its good to relax once in a while, do something other than guitar/ukulele. Take a road trip, go smell some flowers. On a side note, I think orchids are beautiful. Easy to grow and the flowers bloom for a long long time. More trips to the garden please?
